Meat Hand & Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Kegan had some friends over for dinner tonight. I made a simple meatloaf recipe shaped into hands. The fingernails are made of cut white onion pieces. The wrist bones are onion center. Bubbly provolone cheese is the crispy skin. The hands are resting on top of some homemade mashed sweet potatoes. This idea came from a post on notmartha.com.
Mashed Sweet Potatoes
3 large sweet potatoes
1 cup milk
4 tbsp butter or margarine
salt and pepper
Peel and cube the sweet potatoes. Boil the potatoes until tender in salted water. Drain potatoes. In a large bowl, place potato cubes, milk, and butter. With a masher, mash potatoes to desired consistency. Salt and pepper to taste.
