Salmon and Herbed Cheese Pinwheels

Salmon and Herbed Cheese Pinwheels

6 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced
4 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon fresh basil, roughly chopped
2 teaspoons chives, roughly snipped
Ground white pepper
4 (8 inch) flour tortillas

Set aside 3/4 of the largest slices of smoked salmon. Place the remaining slices in a food processor with the cream cheese, basil, chives, and 1/4 teaspoon white pepper. Pulse to blend.

Spread each tortilla with 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture. Divide the reserved slices of salmon between 4 tortillas, placing the salmon horizontally across the center of each tortilla. Starting from the bottom, roll each tortilla firmly. Trim the ends and cut each rolled tortilla into 6 slices. Arrange the pinwheels on a platter, cut side up, and serve.
