Turkish Marinade for Chicken

This is such a great marinade! This recipe is from The Mediterranean The Beautiful Cookbook.




Turkish Marinade for Chicken

2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or 1 tablespoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 cloves minced garlic
Juice of one lemon
6 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 cup grated onion

Mix all marinade ingredients together. Place chicken in marinade. Marinate for 6 hours of overnight. Bring chicken to room temperature before grilling. Cooking time will depend on the size of the pieces.
