This recipe is super simple. It is from a coupon booklet from Kroger that came in the mail. It makes 6 servings.
Beef Taco Skillet
1 pound ground beef (I used 85/15)
1 can (10.75 ounce) condensed tomato soup
1/2 picante sauce
1 packet (1.25 ounces) low-sodium taco seasoning
1/2 cup water
6 (6 inch) Whole wheat flour tortilla, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 cup 2% cheddar cheese
Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned., stirring often to separate meat. Drain off excess fat. Stir in soup, picante sauce, taco seasoning, water and tortillas in the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in the beef mixture. Top with cheese.
