These patties are well-loved at our house. The flavor of the fresh mint really pops in this dish. This is my rendition of a recipe I saw in a family magazine I found at the gym a few years ago. The original recipe called for meatballs on skewers. Patties are just easier. It makes 4 servings.
Vietnamese Turkey Patties
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon fish sauce
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/3 cup minced green onion
1 large garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped
1 pound ground turkey
Whisk together the cornstarch, honey, fish sauce, soy sauce, and pepper in a medium bowl. Stir in green onion, garlic and mint. Add the turkey and combine gently by hand.
From the turkey mixture into patties or meatballs. Cook on the grill on in the skillet.
